Daily Sightings
The Daily Bird Sightings list is mainly what we have seen around this area. Occasionally there will be sightings from other areas but disabilities are a slight hindrance so I do what I can. Our yard is located about a quarter mile up the side of Ratlum Mountain, in Connecticut.
We have become a registered Backyard Wildlife Habitat with the National Wildlife Federation. Link to NWF is to the left, so check it out. You may qualify for a certification, yourself. Lend Mother Nature a hand and gear your yard toward attracting birds and other wildlife.
We have about 30 bird feeders [to include thistle, suet, and seed] that we keep filled all year long. There is a great wide open sky over this foothill. It is a nice spot for hawk migrations, too. We now have three small man-made ponds that are helping with frogs and insects. There are eight Bluebird houses that Bluebirds and other birds use too
Below, there is a scrollable list of our daily sightings and below that is a small archive of past sightings. We will keep these lists as updated as possible.
